Dale Stockstill & Associates uses a digital hydrographic system from Seafloor Systems that receives a GPS NEMA stream via Bluetooth from our Topcon RTK systems into the hydro controller. In addition to the highly reliable bottom tracking algorithms, the system includes a six-axis solid state accelerometer with calculated output of Heave, Pitch, and Roll measurements. The data obtained from this system is more accurate in the horizontal than DGPS due to being true RTK. Another advantage is that the Vertical is unaffected by tide actions as it is RTK based.
